  • 2008 Cape Mentelle Sauvignon Blanc Sémillon 79 Points

Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River

    Bright, light greenish silver.
Very aromatic, a bit oaky, the predominant note is nettles, not sure I liked the nose, a bit de trop!
Delicious, grass, nettles, lime, refreshing, slightly off-dry, good acidity, very New World, austere finish, good length.

Flight 5 (1 Note)

  • 2007 Kooyong Pinot Noir Estate 81 Points

Australia, Victoria, Port Phillip, Mornington Peninsula

    Translucent, no age.
Oaky, very inviting, some ripe fruit, a small amount of development.
A little too oaky at present, plenty of fruit and acidity, soft but grippy tannins, needs five to seven years in the cellar, not very long.
