2004 Château de Puligny-Montrachet Bourgogne Blanc Clos du Château
France, Burgundy, Bourgogne Blanc
Tasted non blind at a wine dinner. Yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose smelled like the wine was a little bit pre-moxed which bared out on the palate. Some aromas of apple and pear. Flavors of sherry up front with added notes of pears. Drinkable but why? Drink a bottle now if you have any as a data point.

1999 Château de la Maltroye Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Dent de Chien
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Tasted non blind at a wine dinner. Yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Really odd nose of bacon fat dominates with an added note of Windex. Mostly a mineral presence on the palate with a little bit of yellow pear thrown in. Light acidity, light to medium body. Also just a little bit of heat on the palate. I'm guessing this wine is a victim of poor provenance or simply has faded away. No rating as a result.
