Nose is a bit closed, some white flowers. Crisp, dry palate, nice pear flavors and great acidity. Pinot Gris character doesn't stand out, but this is tasty and refreshing.

Distinctive nose of apple pie, especially the crust. More apple pie flavors on the palate along with some vanilla. Interesting and unique chard, but the acidity is much too low for my taste.

Cherries and raspberries on the nose. Soft cherry fruit on the palate, adequate acidity, obvious oak influence and some light tannins. Needs time for oak to integrate and seems likely to improve.

Big jammy nose of dark berries and chocolate make this easily identifiable as a zinfandel. However, the palate is a pleasant surprise, medium-bodied with bright red fruit that's not at all overextracted. This tastes fresh and juicy and there's adequate acidity to balance. I'm not usually a zin fan but I really like this cool climate expression.

Strange nose of savory cherry cough syrup. Ripe cherry fruit on the palate with sweet tannins, definitely a new world sangiovese.

Nose was a bit tight, some cherry peeking through. Tart cherry palate with excellent acidity. Not a ton of complexity but the bright, fresh red fruit is delicious. Finishes a bit short.

Expressive nose of pears and green apple. Same flavors on the crisp palate. Excellent acidity and very little evidence of the 30% new oak this wine sees. Delicious.

Big ripe blue and black fruited nose. Rich and extremely tannic palate. This needs a lot of time.

Floral, perfumey nose, not that expressive. Dry on the palate with similar flavors, along with some pear, quince and spice. Heat comes through in a big way, which is the main problem and it finishes slightly astringent.

Nutty, toasty, bit funky nose, reminiscent of corn chips and taleggio cheese. Bit of funk on the palate, along with apple and toast. Large bubbles, a bit awkward.

Explosive nose of black fruit, vanilla and some eucalyptus. Very similar on the palate, with big dark fruit, soft tannins and some oak. Enjoyable but not distinctive.
