Singing on all cylinders. Floral aspects are huge, the palate is lengthy and satisfying. No oaky aspects of note, well-resolved re: tannins. A nice wine!

Had this wine with a ham & potato dinner. It appears to be just past its prime. Lost of its fruit…the oak is a touch over powering now. Very light bodied and color. Still drinkable, but I would not hold this year any longer.

This had some of the nice spice and cranberry I associate with WO, but overall a bit short and disjointed, maybe a bit porty on the finish. A good Pinot, but just OK for this producer.

I noted a shorter finish than I always seem to get from Windy Oaks wines. On the palate, it starts fine, but I quickly sensed a fruit deficiency, making the whole thing out of whack. The wine lingered on the back end as if I had taken a dram of whisky instead of PN. Not at all what I expected. It sez 14.3%, but felt higher.
This warmer site (a mile away from the Estate and notably warmer) sometimes turns out dramatically nice wines, more emphatic than the more sublime Estate offerings; perhaps this vintage was a problem.

Salted strawberry, sweet oak, red licorice. Still plenty of gusto, with good acid. Drinking now wouldn't be a sin, but this has plenty more left to give.
