A good run of birthday wines to mark my 29th.

Intense lemons lots of acidity to keep it going. A but rough now but will turn into a fine gem with more time. Still lots of lemony fruitiness hinted with some flinty minerality

Linoleum lifted big structured nose with Birch wood and huge minerality. There is a deep undercurrent of rupe gooseberries and Chardonnay like white fruits. Not immediately enjoyable but also not a typical sb anyone wld ever have had. Unique and really burg Chablis meaursault like.

Dark red fruited with earth and truffles. Regal and poised and reserved. Good depth of pretty red fruits and still youthful.

A bomb of a burg assy nose, full of that beautiful damp black earth interlaced with fruits and compost florals. Lovely palate. Silky voluptuous and whole with mouthfilling beautiful round red strawberry fruits. Kudos on being of suprising quality being just a village and it really tastes wonderfully mature now.

Spaish flower scents ,Black spices, black currant pastilles and Brambly red cherries. Balanced but generous wine with juicy gobs of bosomy fruit. Lifted finish and good transition and flow from start to finish.

Round soft offering of plush velvety currant fruits. Juicy and sumptuous and more st julien or right bank i thought.

Now this is a pauliiac with top cru classe nose of capsicum married nicely with high quality weathered leather. Dark earth and truffles with mocha smooth tannins. Classic pauliiac in an unexpected vintage

Deep and brooding lemony yeasty notes. Complex and layered with loads of lemon minerality and bitter lemon pith. Some butter some creaminess but much overtaken by its aftertaste of rocky minerality. Deep. Already at it's peak but will last 5 years.

Lots of funk and dirt and floweriness at the start that eventually was overtaken by tea leaves and green peppers. Very classically austere bordeaux. This at first was more st julien margaux than graves but there was an underlying minerality lying beneath.

Fresh brambles and red roses sitting nicely on ripe and polished pure red fruits. With time the typical Italian cats pee and chicken feathers barnyardish powdery milo notes come thru. Cigarette ash came afterwards with still lots of bright red ripe fruits.

Beautifully enveloped nose of fresh red attractive fruits and some red flowers. Bordeaux seductiveness and sexiness reverberates from this wine. Delicious fresh wine with it's ultra attractive fruits yet carrying a bitter toned earthiness and truffles underneath. This teases with it's interplay of bitter sweet flavors but ultimately the strong charactered finish takes over and ensures it's terroir of menthol eucalyptus punctuates it's mark in your mind. Excellent pretty wine.

Enfolding aromas of nutmeg spices and smoky black wood. Dark spicy flavours of black plums, earth, cigar and exotic Indian incense. Long finish with smooth viscous Godiva 90% cocoa dark chocolate smoothies. Refined and luxe

Sweet florals. Dense and weighty with better nose than palate but a hedonistic enjoyable Pinot with dark fruits. A lot if minerals and metallic taste.

Elegant flowers and strawberry florals. Mineral and menthol lifted. Fine and still very restrained and a bit aristocratically shy. Strawberry skins and very approachable and gulpable. Light fruit tea finish.
