Target is to make a complex yet easy to drink wine. Very enjoyable and worth its money for sure. One to look out for.

Nose was unpleasant on the beginning but opened up with some red fruit along the way. On the harsh side, herbie and a touch too acidic.

Nice and elegant nose with sweet tones. Round, silky yet firm tannins. More elegance than body. All in balance and the mild usage wood suits the style of this wine a lot.

    Italy, Puglia, Salento IGT

Antinori Tasting & Introduction of the 2007 Tignanello Presented by Filippo Pulisci, Handford Wines, London 22 Sep 2010
Negroamaro is the same as the Greek Xinomavro. Although it means bitter black , this wine is neither. This is a very fine wine and a great value. Lots of red fruit, spice and vanilla. A great find.

Fine nose, Expressive with ripe fruit. Spice.Still very young and tannic but not austere. To quote FP , restrained and a "difficult character" but in the future this will be better than the 2007.

Antinori Tasting & Introduction of the 2007 Tignanello Presented by Filippo Pulisci, Handford Wines, London 22 Sep 2010
Open, aggressive nose. Jumps out of the glass aggressive. Nice sweet undertone.
Intense and very dark. Powerful.Dense palate. U can feel this is very young and needs time to age but still its such a well made wine that you can see the great future ahead very clear.
The nose is so much more expressive than the palate at the moment. No excess of wood. Elegant and Superb.
