golden colored in the glass. nose of apricots, potpourri, lychee and honey. the palate is really fresh with flowers, lime peels and apricots. the balance between the fruit and the minerals is amazing. what a gorgeous wine. this will last for 20 years easily and gain in complexity.
the nose seems a bit oxidized. lots of socks, peanut shells and hazelnut paste. the palate s creamy, but there's not much fruit at all. good acid keeps it interesting and fun.

Cloudy in the glass. Light cranberry color. Nose shows sour cherries, rubber. the palate shows beef tenderloin and meat drippings. the tannins are soft, and the acid is refreshing. i get cranberries and radishes on the finish.
Australia, South Australia, Barossa, Barossa Valley
still quite dark in the glass. the nose is full of soft fruits, raspberries, plums. i also get a bit of slim jim on the nose. lots of fresh fruit and slim jim on the palate, with some black pepper. some charcoal on the finish.
probably my wine of the night. bright ruby color. the nose is so vibrant with red plums and raspberries. gushing fruit on the palate, like purple gusher candy. but this has a purity to the fruit. silky. not goopy at all. impeccable balance. a great finish of dusty fruit and pomegranate.
gaglioppo, greco negro and other crazy italian grapes. dark color. the palate shows earth and pepper. tangy on the palate, but something about the bitterness of this puts me off a bit. there's some nice coffee and sour cherry flavors.
the nose explodes with teriyaki beef jerky and radishes. also some white pepper. the palate is soft and mature. there's lots of smoke and teriyaki. i also get radish and ketchup. this is nearing the end of its life, in my opinion. pour this into a dish for a rabbit, and that bunny will eat this up.
wow, what a poweful wine. the nose exudes blackberry sauce, vanilla bean and chocolate shavings. the palate is filled with goopy fruit. as someone who loves big, washington state syrahs, this is even too much. this might need a few years, or it just might be overdone. even so, it's a yummy wine filled with tannins and fruit. why does jay miller loves this wine so much? i'm being generous with my 88 score, because it was so dense and i loved to sip it.
the nose was pungent and gorgeous. almost a 100 point nose. the palate is full of rare beef, cranberries and pomegranates. fresh and zesty on the palate, dense as well, with lots of kicking tannins. there's a bit of pickle on the midpalate. high acid. so young. this needs five years at least.
