  • 2008 Noon Eclipse 93 Points

Australia, South Australia, Fleurieu, McLaren Vale

Dark and completely opaque purple color, similar to the '07. Also the nose was pretty similar to the '07 (less alcoholic) even though the blend was quite different- ripe fruits, smoke. Full bodied, harmonic and well balanced with excellent acidity. Still very young.

Exquisite nose, bombastic and powerful. Lots of ripe fruits mixed with smoke. Full, round, soft and enjoyable tannins, well balanced and harmonic. Acidity is not high and the finish a bit bitter. This is the correct time to drink.
