Light gold color. PnP, drank 2 glasses with dinner. Beautiful wine, fresh cut flowers on the nose, filled with bright fruit: tangerines, lemon, peach, tropicals; minerals, and just a hint of petrol rounds things out. The palate is vibrant, lush and viscous, excellent body, dazzling balance of acid and sweetness and fruit. The palate follows with bright tropical and citrus fruits together with just enough petrol and a nice mineral streak. The finish is long, seamless, and pure.
Lightish medium red-orange color. PnP. Drank 2 glasses with dinner. Nose shows minerals, florals, cherry, some raspberry, a hint of smoke. The palate is light and elegant, mature, cherry, spice, iron. Medium plus finish. Interestingly, this continued to put on weight through the day and developed some earthiness on the nose along with some mushroom. The palate also showed a little sauvage character later. I saved a bit to try on day 2 and it was still just as good. It appears there is still good life here and this may even benefit from a splash decant. Very pretty wine.
Inky purple red color. Decanted for 1 hour. I only had a small pour of this on day one, but those that had this loved it. It was a bit tight when I tried it, brooding, black fruits, blackberry, menthol, spice, oak. The palate was round with medium tannins, black fruits, licorice, oak, and spice on the medium finish. Day 1 was 91+pts. There was enough for a good pour on day two and the evolution was impressive. The fruit had delineated nicely, now showing distinct notes of blackberry, cassis, and black raspberry. There was a strong tobacco note, briary and spice as well. The palate became more velvety and the tannins better integrated. Day 2 was 93pts. This still needs a couple years to evolve.
