Lots of good wine accompanied by great Flannery steaks and other other wonderful food. Bravo on the sensational hot weather grilling, Jordan! It was too warm to take many notes, so these were very limited, especially for the reds.
2000 Morey-Blanc Meursault 1er Cru Bouchères 90 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru
Roasted nut and mature, ripe apple aromas. Slightly more lean on palate, very well textured, still nicely fresh. Moderate length or intensity. Holding up nicely.

Apple aromas with a hint of lemon with a prominent toasty element. Identical on palate with a real brioche/ yeasty character. Good power and concentration. Vey good in this style.

Far better and fresher than the Dutton just tasted. Rich and fat fruit on nose and palate, slightly tropical. In overall good balance.

1997 Domaine Rémi Jobard Meursault 1er Cru Le Poruzot-Dessus 87 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru
Quite good for a 1997, still showing fresh fruit along with earthy elements, just rather short and simple. Drink up sooner vs later.

2007 Aubert Chardonnay Lauren Estate Vineyard 93 Points
USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast
Slightly tropical aromatic start with some intriguing citrus notes and plenty of floral notes. Forward, lush fruit that comes across well spiced with both a slightly sweet touch as well as racy energy and acidity. Good overall balance.

2007 Domaine Denis Bachelet Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin
Leaner and more tart than I recall from previous times with this wine, most likely an off bottle.

2009 Rhys Pinot Noir Swan Terrace 93 Points
USA, California, Santa Cruz Mountains
Nicely floral start with intense red fruit aromas and a bit of baking spice. Same fruit flavors, with strawberry and red cherry well complemented by the same spice character and lots of structural balance from elegant tannins and impressive acidity. A touch sweet in middle, but I expect this might soften as the wine integrates a bit more.
