Flight 2 - wines with dinner (2 Notes)

Closing

These wines were all very youthful and nuanced but not showing much development of secondary odors, at all. I would probably enjoy all of these wines and rate them higher 10 years from now.
The fruit is exceptionally pure and vibrant. The texture is typically rich but not heavy.
I was surprised by the vintage variablity given the range of vineyards from which the grapes can be sourced .
The wines, as a whole, are remarkably good and a vertical tasting like this will be remembered for a very long time. This is a benchmark for powerful, extracted red wines, with character, detail, class and longevity.
