See through rose core with pale pink rim; deep spice, some oak but integrated, sour cherry, high toned but showing a nice density of something more than villages level, slight tart blueberry; palate is sharp with spiced cherry, cranberry, not the best mid-palate density but this is delicious, sour fruit finish.
Darker crimson core, semi-translucent, garnet rim; dark cherry, rose, orange in the back, cabbage, dried red fruit, peanut shell, silky texture, good long finish, green pepper, nice structure, vanilla; delicious, really improved with air.
Dark core, opaque, thin light garnet rim; cedar, tobacco, coconut, vanilla, richer and sweet nose; dense tannin though they are soft, currant, spicy, fuller bodied, decent acid; overall not bad but didn't impress either.
Dense chocolaty core with larger rim; leather, currant, spice, gravel, dried leaves, aged and beautiful, very Bordeaux-like; palate is herbs, cooked meat, green pepper, tobacco; interesting and good.
France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru
Dark core with garnet bricking; baker's chocolate, blackberry, cedar, cassis, pine; harder on the palate, very masculine, hard, tobacco; for as hard as it is I believe that it will be out of its dumb phase within the next year (or two).
Crimson core with orange rim, aged; soy, fennel, brown sugar, sandalwood, pure cherry, aged but still good flavors and richness; a ripe vintage that seems to be on an accelerated pace but this was well stored.
See through rose crimson; expressive nose of strawberry Starburst, seemingly black pepper that is actually volcanic dust- pumice, sweet acidic; good freshness on the palate, some green along with lots of strawberry; very tasty.
Salmon, saignée like color; peach, light strawberry, cherry, richer, some yeast, rich and persistent, muscular, fresh, mouthfilling, red fruit echoes on the long finish, sweet cherry; delicious- could drink all day long; great with salmon rillettes.
