Once again Tom and his little lady came by for a midweek dinner and some wines.
This time my parents joned us and i was surprised how well they were able to pick up the different tastes in the wine and how quickly they learned about the different areas.
salad of mixed greens with oranges and vinegar. the wine pared really well with the sweetness of orages
lamb (rare) and basmati rice. My wife loves cooking this and the mix of spices that goes into this is impossble for me to describe
italian cookies (simple stuff - the ones with chocolate glaze on one side)
well - the evening ended with my mother saying that next time will be at her house - this is amazing because this is a woman who swears by her semi-sweet reds and moscato d'asti. she loved the wines and the atmosphere of tasting. Ohwell -live and learn. She was asking me when i am planning to get a bigger wine cellar and give my little one to them... what the hell did i do?!

lovly nose - sweet and with lots of apples and grass. Oily and yummy palatte. Great QPR and a good buy at under $15. went really well with salad and i am sure this would work well with many dishes. Will get more of this for everyday. needs more acidity to get a higher score but the year is rather atypical. alcohol does NOT show - which seems to be an issue with some 2003's.
