We all had to bring 2 bottles. We did not know which wines the others brought. The host made the lineup and poured all wines blind. We did not know when our own wines were poured. And we also did not know there were expensive wines in the lineup. Luckily some of us brought a 3rd better wine as well.
In the bouquet flowers and white fruits. On the palate a slightly sweet and aromatic start, yellow fruits and some herbs. Good acidity and body.

Flowers and white fruits in the bouquet. On the palate apple, chalky minerals, firm citrus and drying grapefruit bitterness in the finish. Not extremely pleasant and interesting. An off bottle? Nevertheless I will enter my blind score: 85.

Transparent red. In the bouquet barnyard, minerals and red fruits. Same on the palate, stone minerals, toast, some sweetness and ok acidity. Reminds of German Spätburgunder.

The bouquet is still locked, but shows cherries and some rustic barnyard flavors. On the palate dark and red berry fruits, some bell pepper, juicy and good acidity and good tannin with still a firm bite. Good length. Still too young and not at its best. Wait at least until 2016 or 2017+. Will drink nicely until well into the 2020's. 90 - 91+ for this evening.

Herbaceous bouquet with lactic cherries. On the palate juicy red berries and cherries, supple and round with mild acidity and tannin. A commercially well made wine for everyone to like.

In the bouquet almost like cherry/berry liquor. On the palate a lot of ripe and sweet juicy fruits, like lemonade with alcohol. There is some acidity and tannin, but overall this wine is completely out of balance and does not give any pleasure.

In the bouquet ripe red and dark berries and a lot of sweetness. On the palate a lot of very ripe red and dark berry fruits, good acidity and mild tannin. An attempt to make a blockbuster, but not one which is in very good harmony. Nevertheless nothing really wrong with it.

In the bouquet red and dark forest fruits and some mint. On the palate juicy and ripe fruits, a bit dusty, good acidity and beautiful, still slightly sticky tannin. Not the blockbuster you might expect, but in fact a harmonious and elegant wine with still some years to go.

In the bouquet red and dark berries and eucalyptus. On the palate a full bodied and concentrated wine with dark berries, a lot of oak and sticky tannin. Not in a really nice balance at this moment. Maybe wise to wait a few years.

Beautiful bouquet with creamy dark berries, garrigue and a touch of barnyard. Same on the palate. Good acidity and still powerful tannin. A mouth full of concentrated and rustic wine with a good complexity and length. Still several years of future.
