Looking for best Sauvignon blanc: Very herbal, a touch vulgar in its green intensity. Almost like a NZ Sauvignon. There's also Muscat grape aromas and C vitamine. Wasn't to my liking.

Wow this has to be one of the world's great wines. This is the first 2006 I've tasted and whilst maybe not quite as great as the 2002 it is still a wonderful wine. Both vintages seemed to have aged incredibly well. Viscous and lush with amazing length this wine really shows what Sauvignon Blanc is capable of when in the hands of a skilled vintner. Flavours of tropical fruit and vanilla come through on the palate with the obviously present acidity now softened during cellaring. Went beautifully with cod in an orange and marjoram sauce.

DTC; Low budget wines plus some more expensive pirates. (@ SS): Flowers and white fruits in the bouquet. On the palate apple, chalky minerals, firm citrus and drying grapefruit bitterness in the finish. Not extremely pleasant and interesting. An off bottle? Nevertheless I will enter my blind score: 85.

Helder lichtgeel met groene tint. Citrus, gras, vuursteen en amandelen in geur en smaak. Mooi frisse zuren en iets ziltig, lang aanhoudende afdronk. Een hele subtiele wijn met nog een flinke toekomst.

Double decanted for three hours, served chilled. Color: Light Gold. Nose: Banana, Grapefruit, Currant, Green Herbs. Palate: see nose. Finish: Medium to Long. Acidity: Medium. Alcohol: 12.5 % well integrated. Medium bodied mouthfeel with initial banana and grapefruit. Mid-palate turns herbaceous transitioning into a mineral finish with underlining currant. Good complexity and balance overall. Subtleties and finesse over new world SB in your face style. 91-92 points.
