Our traditional CNY Day 1 dinner with family and Uncle's Cliff's family. Given that everyone would probably be tired of Chinese banquet foods, we decided to go for steak this year. Below is the 6 course menu.
Seared Foie Gras
Traditional Onion Soup (can substitute with Mushroom Cappuccino)
Romaine Heart
US Snake River Farms Black Label Wagyu A Cut Steak or
Live Boston Lobster
Sides of Sautéed Mushrooms; Steamed Broccoli; Coriander-Lime Butter Sweet Corn
Grand Mariner Suffle
Coffee or Tea
The wines are incredible. La Chpelle paired perfectly with the Wagyu steak.
It's a pity that Mom begged off (she does not eat beef). Other than that it was a great evening.

France, Champagne
Cristal has always been one of my favorite champagne. This one did not disappoint--elegant and full of apple flavours.
