We knew the theme, but we did not know what to expect. Unfortunately most wines were too old.
All wines were tasted fully blind.
In the bouquet rust, chocolate, mushrooms and autumn impressions. Some celery as well. On the palate rust, cinnamon, forest floor and some coffee. Hardly any acidity and tannin. Overall a slightly musty wine which is too old alright, but still drinkable. What a surprise! No score.

In the bouquet rust, coffee and forest floor. On the palate a very mature wine with rust, chocolate and in the distance still some red fruits. Mild old age acidity and completely melted tannin. Very mature and too old, but still drinkable and not really unpleasant. No score.

Beautiful bouquet with dark forest fruits and a pleasant touch of barnyard. On the palate dark fruits, leather, graphite, sweet spices and tobacco, good acidity and firm tannin. Still going strong and a firm rustic wine. It lacks a bit in finesse, but is certainly an excellent wine and not tired yet.

Mature bouquet with red berry fruits, rust, forest floor and a touch of barnyard. Everything comes back on the palate in a very pleasant way. There is soft and mild acidity, a touch of sweetness and the melted tannin still has a soft bite. A really pleasant surprise at 62 years of age.

Cola brown color. In the bouquet coffee, tea and celery. On the palate full bodied, but dead and gone. Sharp and old age acidity. No pleasure at all anymore.

In the bouquet there is a lot of intense barnyard, but also some sweet spices, autumn impressions, earth, mint and even some old blueberries and blackberries. On the palate chocolate, red fruits, coffee and figs, some pleasant sweetness and a high dose of old age acidity. It was a great surprise that of such an off vintage the wine was still so drinkable. No score.

In the very mature bouquet a lot of barnyard, autumn and minerals. On the palate chocolate, coffee and cold tea, celery and rust as well as old age acidity. The wine is much too old, but still drinkable. No score.

In the bouquet dead water and not fresh. On the palate it was clear the wine was corked.

Hardly any bouquet and on the palate also not so very expressive. There are some bell peppr, graphite, vegetal and caramel impressions, but although still drinkable, the wine is too old. No score.

In the bouquet barnyard, figs, coffee, tobacco, mushrooms and forest floor. On the palate still some red and dark berry fruits, sweet spices and leather. The acidity is still ok and the tannin still offers some bite. In fact still a lovely wine although it is many years past its peak. No score.

In the mature bouquet barnyard, rust, sweet spices, autumn forest, tobacco, leather and minerals. Same on the palate. Chocolate as well. Ok acidity and the tannin still has some bite. The wine is ok and still pleasant but quite old. I did not score it.
