All wines were tasted blind.

• NV Soutiran Champagne Grand Cru Brut 89 Points

  France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru

  Yeast, Apple and a little butter. Powerful and fresh, but also a style which shows maturity. A really nice bubble.

  Butter and yellow fruits. Minerals. Some bitterness in the medium long finish. Very mature. Should have been drunk some years ago. No score.

  Still a little youthful sparkles in the start. Apples, lemon and oranges and yellow fruits. Concentrated and tasteful. Some minerals and just a hint of sweetness. Great wine with many years ahead.

  A lot of smoky oak in the bouquet. On the palate also a lot of toasted oak, but also fruit juice, good citrus acidity and minerals. The tropical fruits are hidden. Despite the oak, the wine is elegant as well. Will probably improve with another 3+ years of ageing. 91+

  Although the bouquet is already showing signs of maturity it is also still a bit locked. The bouquet is already showing good complexity. On the palate chocolate and earthy tones. Beautiful balance between sweetness, acidity and bitterness. Ready now, but with enough powerful tannin for several years more. 93-94

  Youthful bouquet with red forest fruits and a pleasant dose of oak. Still holding back a little because of the firm tannin and acidity. Nevertheless already approachable and will probably improve with another 3 - 5 years of cellaring so the tannin can soften a bit. Classical wine.

  Beautiful classical Bordeaux bouquet and palate. Although the wine is completely ready and the tannin is silky soft, the wine still has a perfect bite and a long finish.
