Introduction
We all brought a few bottels, had a bite, a good talk and enjoyed some beautiful wines which we poured blind for the others one at a time. These evenings often are the best :-)!

Beautiful bubble with fine citrus, some nuts, minerals. Focused, very clean and dry. Really beautiful and youthful. 92+

2000 Domaine des Beaumont Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes 91 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
Beautiful and mature bouquet with smoke, oak and tobacco. On the palate the same impressions; autumn forest, mushrooms, earth, chocolate, beautiful acidity and completely melted and integrated tannin. Complex and refined wine.

2001 Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon 93 Points

Expressive and mature bouquet with dark forest fruits and eucalyptus. Same on the palate, sweetness and iodine as well, good acidity and tannin which still has a beautiful bite and is not tired yet. Good length. A future until into the 2020’s.

2008 Ramey Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 92 Points

The bouquet shows cherries, dark forest fruits and yoghurt impressions. On the palate beautifully ripe dark and red berries, chocolate, some sweetness, good fresh acidity and round tannin. Overall a lush and beautiful wine which needs at least until 2020 to show more complexity and finesse. 91 – 92

2008 Château La Conseillante 93 Points
France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Pomerol
In the bouquet creamy dark berry fruits. On the palate dark berries, herbs, some red berries, bell pepper, chocolate and some bell pepper. Pleasant acidity and tannin. Will show more complexity and finesse with more ageing, but is a pleasure already. Around 2020+ 92 - 93

2009 Château Gazin Pomerol 94 Points

The bouquet is still very youthful and shows cherries, red and dark forest fruits, some yoghurt and rustic impressions. On the palate much more full bodied than the Conseillante 2008 we had before this wine. Beautifully ripe dark forest fruits, cinnamon and other sweet spices, soft chocolate. Overall a full bodied, concentrated and beautiful wine. A treat already, but better wait until 2022+. 93 – 94+ for tonight.

2009 Château de Saint Cosme Gigondas Le Poste 93 Points

The bouquet is still youthful and shows ripe raspberries, cherries, garrigue and yoghurt. On the palate the same youthful impression, a firm amount of sweetness and good, fresh acidity and tannin. A lush wine with a good length and a good future. 93
