Medium saturation. Dark cherry and soil. Medium weight with a bit of wood. Good tart cranberry fruit, crisp acidity. A very good Chambolle village in a slightly bulkier style.

Light color. Earth and green tones. Light, subtle strawberry fruit and lots of soil. Moderate acidity and tartness, light tannins. Lacks some oomph on the mid-palate but good finish.

Light ruby core. Cherry and smoke aromas. Lovely dark red fruit and char, medium weight with real cling and sappy richness, round soil that suggests the influence of clay rather than limestone. Already delicious. Bright and so Burgundian. Hard to complain about paying Premier Cru prices for something of this quality.

Dull ruby. Menthol and char on the nose. Medium body with some sap giving a nice feel that is lightly woody. Soil, subdued red fruit, overall somewhat green impression, quite tannic. Middling quality for Suchots.

Deep ruby center. Fragrant blackberry jam and a little funk as well. Biggest wine so far-round, oaky base, lush but reasonably restrained. Chewy and tannic, average acidity. Blockish and simple now but good potential. Nothing "Petit" about it, in fact one of the weightiest '14s I've tried, and it is like a scaled down Clos Vougeot.

Even, clear ruby. Pine scents. Medium feel and weight. Modern, fruity, sweet entry, green finish. Both high acidity and wood tannins make it pretty astringent at the end. I really did not care for this.

Medium ruby. Very perfumed at this early stage. Light to middle weight. Naturally sweet, pure red fruit with perfect cranberry acidity, gentle soil throughout, and outstanding length. I loved the balance and elegance of this wine-outstanding Gevrey Grand Cru! It seems to have gathered itself and filled in since I last tasted it in the fall.

2014 Jean-Paul & Benoit Droin Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot
France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis Grand Cru
Yellow. Sulfur and saline. Medium weight, green apple and lemon. Excellent acidity but not very mineral. Average finish. Good but this does not have Grand Cru intensity or class.

2014 Marc Colin et Fils Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Sur le Sentier du Clou Blanc
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Saint-Aubin 1er Cru
Medium yellow. Steely aromas along with some pear. Wood base, relatively lush feel for St. Aubin. Fairly big and round with only average acidity, but good depth, length, and attractive citrus twist finish.

2011 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Embrazées
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Yellow. Lovely floral tones and just a transient whiff of sulfur (much less than in more recent C-M wines). Medium weight but carressing feel with discrete wood base. Orange zest and lemon, excellent acidity and persistence. Some oak comes through on the finish but not enough to be distracting from the current beauty of this wine.

2014 Benoit Ente Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Folatières En la Richarde
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
Light yellow. Backward aromatically. Fine, light, elegant apple fruit, very good acidity, no trace of wood. Pure and still a bit austere today but with real potential.
