Nothing to add here; a extremely well made, commercial example, no faults to pick on, yet, nothing to really exctite. Might rise to the occassion with a few years of cellaring, but I doubt it.

Very much true to the house style, this is rich with hints of exotic fruit, quite broad, yet with a precise acidity - and still to young, although not impossible to approach. Great with lobster in a light and acidic tomatoboullion. #Schur

Great showing tonight; it is an oldmost old fashioned Meursault with all the fixers in terms of butter, brioche, lemon, creamy texture, a bit of smoke and a deep rich fruit. Seems already mature ... yet there is no hurry. #Schur

Tasted vis à vis the Roulot, this is much more on the mineral side; seems rather light, very elegant, very precise with emphasis on the lemon-fruit, less so on the richesse, that this wine sometimes has. Very vibrant and clean. #Schur

Quite dark and almost rustic, this is very much showing the vintage - especially when served vis à vis a 2002 wine. I was guessing all over the place here, as the dark and concentrated showing did not lead us to Burgundy. This is still very young and need time.

First bottle a wee bit off, second and third really singing; this hits the Pinot-nerve, it is a very feminine, dancing wine, very much the 2002 speaking as always. It is ready to drink, has sous bois and charm - a point, right now, I think

Mature, broad and somewhat sweet in it generous and almost kind attack; classy and classic wine, gentle and round with plenty of fruit, hints of tobacco - ready to drink, though not at all on the way down.

WOTN for - and I nailed it blind (needed the credit after the DRC-fiasco); smoky and cool, very cool indeed, a manly drink that could even remind one of the northern Rhône. Very long and very balanced - still young.

Darkblue, tight, young with loads of blackberries here; it is very polished, very Gaja, just a little gemacht, very much a First Class wine seeking to pleasure The Upper Ten ... #Schur

Grand Vin indeed, majestic, mature, manly full bodied, boad, yet precise. This speaks of the vintage as well as the cuvée, suitable for the man, who saved us from so much.

Orangepeel, candied fruit, some spice, coffee, a dark hue; not as good as the mindblowing 1990, that we drank not long ago, but still a very special treat. Seems more mature than the 1990 ...

2000 Taittinger Champagne Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut 95 Points
France, Champagne
Delicious, creamy, rich, almost decadent, yet with a firm and solid grip. It is still world class wine, mature, far from going downhill, yet I would not keep it for many years from now in fear of losing the bright acidity, that is still there. #Schur
