No detailed notes. Started off showing some oak, dark fruit and a little spice. Blossomed into a very nice Grand Cru, richly fruited, though more of an oak impression than I would like. Still, very good, and has many years left in it. Riedel Burgundy stems. Purchased on release.

Served blind, this was very floral on the nose with dark red fruit, guessed Chambolle. It did have some underlying spice, though didn’t smell like Vosne. Showed very fresh on the palate for the vintage, with good fruit and light to medium tannin. In a good place right now with some room to develop.

Grands Echezeaux: Served blind. Showing much younger than first wine ('04 Gros GE), and I prefer that first wine. This is too woody at present, and a touch acidic on the finish. Just too darn young right now.
Upon the reveal I was surprised, as I recall having had this wine earlier this year and it was glorious. Maybe this wine was stored in very cold cellar and more backward?

Joyous shouts as people put their noses in the glasses - unreal 5 spice. Just spot on. Medium dark color no bricking, tannins are soft, goooood fruit. But that aroma! This is as good or better than recent bottles of DRC GE. Better and better with air, aroma becomes more enticing, and fruit is more expansive. Superb.

Another dinner @ Christiansholm (Klampenborg): First bottle a wee bit off, second and third really singing; this hits the Pinot-nerve, it is a very feminine, dancing wine, very much the 2002 speaking as always. It is ready to drink, has sous bois and charm - a point, right now, I think
