14,5% abv. Medium garnet color. Like the 2012 on steroids: more power, more acidity, more complex -> the much better vintage. Very young, I would keep it for 2-3+ years with a potential of 5-15+ years. Very nice. 91

My flight of the evening
Glass: Gabriel Standard
A step up from the Vino nobile. The riserva was the more masculine wine, more rough than the single vineyard wines. Medium garnet color. Complex, developing nose with lots of spices, oak, rum pot, red fruits, some notes of maturity/oxidation but in a positive sense. On the palate powerful, high, vibrant acidity, lots of red fruit, earthy notes, long finish. Quite young, wth potential of 5-10 years. 90-92, good PQR.

Single vineyard Brunello. Much more elegant than the Riserva. More floral nose, dried blossoms, very fine and elegant. On the palate also cooler, leaner, more elegant. Floral notes, lots of red fruit, oak, herbs. High acidity and tannin, great structure, good length. Very young. Keep for 3-5+ years. 91-92+

Single vineyard Brunello. Much more elegant than the Riserva and a little step up from the Poggio al Grancchio. Nose reminds me a bit of a Barolo: Dried blossoms, roses, lots of spices, ripe, some oxidative notes. On the palate cool, menthol, elegant and finesse but also enormous power. Wonderfol red fruit, very long. Give it 5+ years to fully blossom. 92-93+
