  Intensity of a real GC, elegant because the vintage, appetising cause its floral touch.
  On the palate or maintains that elegance, contained acidity and lingering finish. Don't ask me for length. Tremendous value at this point.

  La intensidad de un Grand Cru de verdad, elegante por ser de esta añada, apetecible por su toque floral.
  Al paladar mantiene esa elegancia junto con una contenida acidez y un final glicérico. No me preguntes por la longitud. En este momento y en este restaurante de un tremenda relación calidad-precio.

  A hidden gem at Restaurant Clos Saint Jacques in Joigny. Lovely nose of an over-the-hill PN. Decadent and vétuste but at the same time delicious and appetising. Granny's apple pie, Bourgogne cave, nice old backboard aromas. Ethereal.
  Don't ask for the same delicatessen on the palate yet we found little length and still a good acidity. Well done! A nice surprise indeed and a well-priced too PN in such a kind of restaurant like this.
  
  Una gema escondida en la carta del restaurante Clos Saint Jacques en Joigny. Maravillosa nariz de un PN pasadito. Decadente y vetusto pero al mismo tiempo delicioso y apetecible. Aromas a tarta de manzana de la abuela, bodega borgoñona, armario viejo. Etéreo. No le pidas las mismas delicadezas en el paladar aunque encontramos algo de longitud, y todavía una buena acidez. ¡Bien hecho! Una agradable sorpresa y un PN bien de precio para un restaurante como este.

  This wine needs an extra-time. Pale hay colour. Long legs.
  Serious aromas of lactic products mixed with humid earth, citrus peel and limestone mineralogy. All in one. Perfectly balanced. Elegantly performed.
  Endless density on the palate. Fine acidity. Nice aftertaste. Can't ask for more. Plenty of room so an extraordinary life ahead. I wish I can refill my cellar with bottles like this because it never disappointing me especially in young yet perfect vintages like this. My sort of blanc wine.

  Este vino necesita tiempo. El color del heno pálido. Deslizantes lágrimas. Serios aromas de productos lácteos mezclados con tierra húmeda, cáscara de cítricos y mineral de piedra caliza. Todo en uno. Perfectamente equilibrado. Elegantemente realizado.
  Densidad interminable en el paladar. Adecuada acidez. Buen retrogusto. No puedo pedir más. Mucho espacio por delante así que de una vida extraordinaria. Ojalá pueda rellenar mi bodega con botellas como esta porque nunca me decepcionaron especialmente en añadas jóvenes aunque perfectas como esta. La clase de vino blanco que me va. Bebida en el restaurante Le Rive Gauche en Joigny.

  Served by the glass from an open bottle who knows when. We continue with the habit of putting the cup without showing the bottle. Vive le France! On the nose very shy with just some rose petals. Very bitter, little acidity but with an undoubtedly class.
  I did not expect anything more from this vintage so it does not disappoint me at all.
  
  Servido por copas de una botella abierta a saber cuando. Seguimos con la manía de poner la copa sin enseñar la botella. El timo de la estampita francés. En nariz muy tímido con algo de pétalos de rosas. Bien amargo, poca acidez pero con clase.
  No esperaba nada de esta añada así que no decepciona.

  Served by the glass without showing the bottle. Invaded by Gamay, a sweet of smoked strawberry. Very rustic entrance. Abrupt and short finish. Fruit in abundance that remains to the original vine branch. The palate is too soft, almost sweet with a watery sensation that slides down the throat. The best that raspberry aftertaste. There are better examples in the village.
  
  Servida por copas a copa puesta. Invadida por la Gamay, un palote de fresa ahumada. Entrada muy rústica. Final abrupto y corto. Fruta a raudales que te retrolleva al sarmiento. En boca es demasiado suave, casi dulce con una sensación acuosa que resbala por la garganta. Lo mejor ese retrogusto a frambuesa. Hay mejores ejemplos en la villa.

  Limestone minerality on the nose with memories of molluscs and Provençal herbs. Very suave in the mouth yet everything in balance m: acid, density and aftertaste. Sightly medicinal but I liked again cause the surprise factor.

  Deeply aromatic.
  In the mouth conserves all the power from the nose with a elegant texture. Moi preferè that lively aftertaste: bitter yet with that sweet touch that balances everything in a dry wine.

  Really dry wine. Very Fronsac. Reserved aromatically speaking. At the beginning only red berries maybe but where it really explotes is on the palate with memories of black pepper and a flesh feeling that doesn't left us. Good length and sharpen acidity. Recommended.

  Pears in syrup on the nose. Very simple and easy drink without any trace is complexity. On the palate the sweetness and alcohol help to gain some weight and volume. That's all.

• 2014 Prunier-Damy Pommard Trois Follots

  Served by the glass. Very rustic, unsophisticated and little aggressive Pommard. Dark colour with watery rims. Primary aromas of cranberries jam. Clearly needs to evolve. On the palate is unbalanced with a high acidity and a density that needs fork and knife. Quite uninspiring and this particular vintage doesn't help a piece.
  
  Servido por copas. Un Pommard muy rústico, poco sofisticado y un poco agresivo . De un color muy obscuro con bordes acuosos. Aromas primarios a jalea de arándanos. Claramente necesita evolucionar. En boca está desequilibrada con una acidez muy alta y una densidad que necesita de cuchillo y tenedor. Bastante desesperante y esta añada no ayuda precisamente.

  Smells of reeds and peach-like white fruit. Acid to the bone but with finesse right in the center of the palate. It leaves a very long aftertaste, something mineral and saline. This particular vintage, a pleasant surprise.
  
  Huele a juncos y a fruta blanca tipo melocotón. Ácido hasta la médula pero con finura en el centro del paladar. Deja un regusto muy largo, algo mineral y salino. Para esta añada, una agradable sorpresa.

  Too much lactic on the nose, abuse of wood surely. I like that saline note that accompanies another sweet in the mouth. Tasty with a good length and density. Balanced although alcoholic.

  Initially aromas of glue that leave room for notes of caramel and almond cake. On the palate is very fresh not very sweet which does not need an extra effort with acidity. Medium body does not cloy at all. As a defect, perhaps alcohol needs to be balanced because the stomach burns. And at sixteen I do not think it's a matter of more time.
  
  Inicialmente aromas a pegamento que dejan sitio para notas a caramelo y a tarta de almendras. En boca resulta muy fresca no muy dulce con lo cual no necesita un esfuerzo extra con la acidez. De cuerpo medio no empalaga en absoluto. Como defecto quizás falta equilibrar el alcohol porque el estómago arde. Y con dieciséis años no creo que sea cuestión de mas tiempo.

  Balanced aroma of garrigue with sweet touches of toffee and chocolate. In the mouth it has a liqueur texture that runs through the papillae leaving a sweet sensation but perfectly balanced by the acidity. Always my choice.

  Apparently no vintage but the bar code seems to indicate that it is from 2017. Only 11.5% ABV. Very simple on the nose with weak scents of buckshot and butter. On the palate is inconsequential, short and metallic. With that artificial closure, to avoid.

  Quite similar to yesterday's Grignan: intoxicating aromas of dark fruits wrapped in a dusty dress. Liquor sensation powered by that 14% ABV.
  Tannic and alcoholic on the palate. Your stomach is certainly burning. Full of honesty but far away from any elegance. Rustic yet acceptable Ventoux.
  
  Bastante similar en estilo al Grignan de ayer: intoxicantes aromas a frutas negras (ciruelas sin madurar) envueltas en un vestido polvoriento. Sensación licorosa potenciada por ese 14% de alcohol. También tánica y alcohólica al paladar. Verdaderamente tu estómago arde. Una botella llena de honestidad aunque lejos de cualquier elegancia. Rústica pero aceptable.

  Memories of greatness that this region treasures in the form of aromas of a cornucopia of red and dark fruits, a milk chocolate tablet, and camphor. All very light and in very small doses. In the mouth this line is maintained but the small proportion of CS brings fleshiness to the dusty whole.
  Without length, without complexity but with honesty enough to match a local charcuterie dish where saucisson stands out.
  
  Recuerdos de la grandeza que atesora esta región en forma de aromas a una cornucopia de frutos rojos y negros, a tableta de chocolate con leche, a alcanfor. Todo muy ligero y en muy pequeñas dosis. En boca se mantiene esta línea pero la pequeña proporción de CS aporta carnosidad al conjunto polvoriento.
  Sin longitud, sin complejidad pero con la honestidad suficiente como para acompañar un plato local de charcutería donde destaca el salchichón.

  Limpid, clear PN on the nose. Not very pure anyway. Timid and reserved. Petite cherrie, that's all.
  Watery texture, short and certainly no very transcendental HCB. No help from producer, neither the vintage, denomination either so the final result is just fair. Only 12.5 ABV. This bottle is giving its supposed best now. At l'Yonne there are better wines than this.
  
  Una PN límpida, clara en la nariz. No muy pura de todos modos. Tímida y reservada. Cerecita, eso es todo.
  Textura acuosa, corta y sin duda no muy trascendental. Sin ayuda del productor, ni de la vendimia, tampoco de la denominación, por lo que el resultado final es justito. Solo 12,5%. Esta botella está dando su supuesto mejor momento ahora. En l'Yonne hay mejores vinos que este.

  Easy drink, perfectly ready to pair food right now. Red berries on the nose with a touch of oak that needs integration. On the palate it was the same: soft, little tannic, and quite short. Boring at its best but matching a "cochon du Limousin, c'est magnifique"
  
  De trago fácil, totalmente lista ahora mismo pero solo para acompañar comida. Frutillos rojos en nariz con un toque de roble que necesita integrarse. Al paladar fue más de lo mismo: suave, ligeramente tánico y bastante corto. Aburrido en su mejor momento pero acompañando un cerdo del Limusín asado "c'est magnifique".

  Horribly unbalanced lemony acid in both, nose and palate. Can't describe it as an standard cremant. Maybe it is the 10% Mauzac contribution. Complicated to repeat it again. Even an a very ordinary sushi from restaurant Hoki close to Porte de St Cloud was superior. Gonna take my antacid Tums with me.
  
  Horrible acidez alimonada desequilibrada tanto en nariz como en paladar. No puedo describirlo como un cremant apatecible. Quizás sea ese 10% de Mauzac. Complicado repetir de nuevo. Incluso un sushi mediocre del restaurante Hoki cerca de la Porte de St Cloud fue muy superior a este brebaje. Voy a necesitar antiácidos.

  Strictly speaking it is not a vin gris from Côté de St. Jacques but Senan is a few kilometers from Joigny so it deserves a respect.
  Deep aroma of pomegranate fruit and freshly cut herbs. Maybe a little medicinal. On the palate I'm left with its delicious bitterness.
  Otherwise obviously it is very short and its watery texture does not help. Repugnance for that synthetic closure. Not the best example I've tried in the area.
  
  En sentido estricto no es un vin gris de Côté de St. Jacques pero Senan está a muy pocos kilómetros de Joigny así que merece un respeto.
  Profundo aroma a la fruta de la granada y a hierbas recién segadas. Quizás un poco medicinal. En el paladar me quedo con su delicioso amargor.
  Por lo demás evidentemente se queda muy corto y su textura acuosa no ayuda. Repugnantemente cierre sintético. No el mejor ejemplo que haya probado en la zona.

  Giant bubbles. No natural apple juice on the nose. Quite short on the palate sightly refreshing and acceptable aftertaste. That's all. Very neutral, absolutely forgettable.
  
  De gigantescas burbujas. En nariz notas a zumo de manzana no natural. Al paladar bastante corto, ligeramente refrescante y de un postgusto aceptable. Eso es todo. Muy neutral, totalmente olvidable.

  I demanded this cremant after Labrely's fiasco. Massive bubbles again. On the nose nothing else than citrus peel and perhaps hazelnuts. Very shy anyway. Palate shows the same face: subtle, unsubstantial creamant. Nothing offensive. Nothing to die for.
  
  Pedí este cremant después del fiasco de Labrely. De nuevo demasiadas burbujas. En nariz nada más que piel de cítricos y quizá avellanas. Muy tímida de todos modos. Al paladar muestra esa misma cara. Suave, un cremant insustancial. Nada ofensivo pero nada por lo que morir.

By the way 110 Taillevent is using Coravin for all bottles no-more.
