Fruitbomb, cherries, sweet. Almost like a Beaujolais. A lot of young red fruits. Also spicy. Full bodied. Not a bad wine, but no reason for me to buy it again.
Beautiful bouquet with ripe red and dark berries. On the palate the same ripe fruits, a bit creamy, good acidity and bitterness. Very pleasant and elegant wine.
Full bodied. A good amount of bitterness of young tannins. A lot of black currant juice. Vanilla. The aftertaste is sweet and long. A very good wine which needs a few more years.
A very interesting wine. Black fruits like blackberries in the bouquet. A little cigar box smell as well. In the taste a lot of black currants, a bit liquorice. Full bodied/fat. A straight forward wine, which might gain some complexity after ageing. (And reach a higher score.) At this moment I give it the benefit of the doubt, but score on the safe side.
Beautiful deep bouquet with toasted wood. Fancy wine. A lot of body and complexity. The oak in this wine is almost overwhelming, but is well integrated. Good firm tannins in the long aftertaste. Enormous concentration, especially for the vintage. Too young now.
Complex bouquet of oak and red fruits. The wine is still very young, but the wood is already very well integrated. Also a hint of sweetness. Beautiful complex wine which needs a few more years.
New Zealand, North Island, Wairarapa, Martinborough
(Tasting it blind): Odd bouquet with sharp vegetal soup smells. In the taste as odd as in the bouquet. Some eucalyptus. Weird wine. I do not like it. (And the friends I was with had the same idea.) I never tasted anything like this before. Hope this was just an off bottle. I will buy this wine again (from another vintage) to find out. (If/when I see it.)
Beautiful deep bouquet with wood, black currants etc. Full bodied, complex, black currants, coffee, vanilla, soft bitter tannins. A textbook Bordeaux with a lot of finesse and a good future.
Black/purple. Distinctive caramel in the bouquet. In the taste sweet liquorice, leather, cigar box, very soft tannins and something like straw. This wine is made to get an as much concentrated wine as possible. Maybe a bit overdone, but nevertheless a very good wine.
Ruby with a carmine edge. A lot of bitterness and some glue in the bouquet, all in a good way. Full bodied, fat, fruity, good wood, a little sweet. An excellent wine, more of the blockbuster type than the elegant type.
Carmine blood red. Juicy, fruits and wood very well balanced, soft tannins, a hint of sweetness. A little paprika. A bit alcohol in the fairly short aftertaste. Nice wine; could very well be mistaken for a Bordeaux.
South Africa, Coastal Region, Cape Peninsula, Constantia
Fairly light carmine/blood red. First old cheese in the taste, but immediately followed by soft juice and soft acidity. The aftertaste is not so long and the acidity comes back. A good, but not impressive wine. (I expected more complexity.)
A pleaser! Concentrated, soft, full bodied, black cherries, a little black currants, some chocolate, well integrated wood, a little sweet. What an opulent wine!!
Full bodied, round, elegancy, everything is there. A lot of fruit, acidity, vanilla, little paprika, pencil, a lot of good soft tannins. Luxurious oak. Delicious!
France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru
Light but fairly complex bouquet, a little backward. Juicy, berries esp. black currant. A bit harsh, but easy at the same time. Plenty of tannins. I think, this wine is in its closed stage now. It doesn’t give itself away yet. Give it at least 2 more years.
Tasted the wine blind. An outstanding wine, that's for sure. First the sweetness meets the taste, then the concentration. It has a long complex aftertaste. Impressive wine but….. compared to a few better Bordeaux it lacked finesse and I scored it not as high as most of you here. Probably tells you more about me than about the wine. But since I make these notes mainly for myself I write it down anyway. After seeing which wine it was I was a bit disappointed.
Carmine. Beautiful complex bouquet with wood and barnyard. Both come back in the taste. Juicy and good tannins in good balance. The wine is at its peak now. Don’t wait too long.
Dark carmine. The bouquet is already somewhat evolved, but so beautiful. Ripe black fruits, luxury wood. In the taste some tea, soft black currants, good soft tannins and perfect integrated wood. I bought a few extra bottles.
Juicy, full bodied, dark fruits, lead pencil, perfect integrated wood. A very complete wine. Power and elegance, everything is there. To drink young now or to keep for many more years.

This wine is far past its peak. Only tertiary aroma’s. Not undrinkable, but this bottle (of which I don’t know the history) is too old. No score

Round creamy berry fruit. Fair amount of soft tannins, enough to store the wine for some more years. But this wine is supple already. Très Pomerol.
