This bottle was 60% Pinot, 30% Chardonnay, 10% Aligote. Citrus, lemon and stone fruit on the nose. The palate is nice and soft with a hint of sugar through dosage. Tasty and great value.
75% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay. Mealy, with lime and light honey. The palate is racy through acidity, there is good body and very nice length. I really liked this.
Beautifully floral on the nose, there is almost a red burgundy type aroma set with cherry and a splash of earth. The palate has superb acidity and it is long and detailed. I was extremely impressed.
Nose shows grapefruit against a background of earth. The palate is the best part, with brilliant acidity playing off against some power and depth to keep the wine fresh and balanced. Very flashy and enjoyable.
Complex nose of vanilla, earth, lemon and spices. The palate is stunning, with unbelievably pure fruit and acidity. Has impressive structure as well. Brilliant.
Impressively interesting nose of ocean spray and seashell with cherry and red floral notes supporting. The palate is rich and has great texture and length.
Better than the last bottle I tried. Citrus peel and graphite on the nose. The palate is in a middle ground between purity and power. Good but not great.
Cherry and strawberry bubblegum on the nose. Palate also has that bubblegum flavour to it. There is some sweetness to it and it could use some more acid, but it isn't too bad and holds some interest.
From 2011 fruit. Earth and stems on the nose. The palate is totally different, it is sweet and rounded. Tasty but I'm not sure how much I could drink before the sweetness overwhelmed.
Mandarin peel and some lime on the nose. The palate has some roundness to it but it is countered by a line of acidity. There is some interest here which is good at this level and price.
Interesting nose of shoe polish, pencil shavings and honey - it sounds weird but it worked for me. The palate is equally interesting, the is spice, length and balance.
Earthy, iron and passion fruit nose. Palate is pretty "out there", it is earthy and almost savoury. Lots of interest here if you are willing to look beyond how odd it is.
Honey, lemon, apple and a oxidative note on the nose. The palate is slightly oxidative as well, though the acidity cuts through well. I'm not entirely convinced that I like this, but it was interesting.
Pencil shavings and baked apple pie on the nose. The palate is well rounded, is there maybe some residual sugar? There is definitely a sweetness to it, but it finishes cleanly.
Lemon peel, smoke and some very light kero. The palate is tasty, it doesn't have great depth but this is a good wine for drinking and not really thinking.
Delicate nose, with some floral notes, slate and lemon. The palate shows a hint of richness, but it is well balanced by integrated acidity. Good length.
Smoked meat and spices here on the appealing nose. Palate is powerful and needs time to unfurl. The Sablet from this producer was more approachable now, but this will be better with time.
Menthol and mint on the nose, with some meaty aromas as well. The palate is well structured with fine tannin supporting. Very good length and this should develop nicely over the next 10 years.
Complex nose of leather, spice, redcurrant and kirsch. The palate has lovely intensity and complexity. There is a lot going on with this wine and I really enjoyed it.
A complex nose of lavender, leather, five spice and earth. The palate is layered and balanced and has good structure. Drinking really well right now for my taste, I really liked this very much.
Smoke, cherry and pepper aromas. Good level of intensity to the palate, it is clearly cool climate with all the pepper and spice, but it has some fruit density as well. Very good.
Tobacco, raspberry and earthy aromas. The palate is appealingly youthful, there is a fresh lift of red fruits and very good length. There is the structure to age well over the next 5-6 years but it is drinking well already for my taste.
