France, Burgundy, Côte Chalonnaise, Montagny 1er Cru
Tasting at Leflaive. Sophie tells us this is from 1 of the 4 prestigious vineyards of the appellation. Rich orchard fruit with faintly sweet spice and mineral textures on finish. Very good length. Might be a very good value wine.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Tasting at Leflaive. From a Clos within Vergers. Rich start, then quickly very minerally with a long finish. Slightly mouth-puckering for just now, but my style of wine, 2022-.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet
Tasting at Leflaive. Fat, floral start, followed by a leaner finish with more textural interest and energy. Ripe apple and peach with good+ weight and good length. Will drink well young.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
Tasted at Leflaive from a bottle opened the day before. Complex aromas and flavors show apple, pear, lemon and peach at various places and stages. Rich start, dense middle, tense and bright finish. Very good, but probably better in a year or three.

Tasting at Leflaive. Dense, almost meaty. Good concentration, but slightly awkward, seemingly rugged finish. Tough to fully assess, needs time?

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Tasting at Leflaive. Rich and fleshy with good weight and length, perhaps less complexity than the best Morgeot of the vintage. From Morgeot proper.
