At least 6 years old (since release), this was still reasonably fresh with lots of baked orchard fruit and very good concentration. I understand why some people adore how this evolves, but I found it getting slightly long in the tooth.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Poached pear with savory spice and dried stone fruit. Good+ weight. Perhaps still slightly backward now, so better in another year or two, but not a wine to cellar for the decades.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Clearly lots of oak, but able to remain unobtrusive. Very ripe with very good density. Wonderful for several hours, then starting to lose energy after 2+ hours. Very good to enjoy now through 2023.
Bottle had been 50% Coravin'ed before opening tonight. Very, very, very rich in both the best and worst ways. Such great concentration, but on the flabby side.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos Vougeot Grand Cru
Tough wine to assess. So tasty and spicy when popped-and-poured, then quickly shut down and less accessible. Very good weight, but just hinting at its potential pleasure, probably 90-91+ points?
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru
Wonderful combination of a cross-section of red fruit with slowly cooked mushroom. Dense and nicely complex as well with sweet and savory Vosne spice. Cleanly in its peak drinking window.
Completely enticing and balanced for current enjoyment with mostly black fruit and both sweet plus savory spice. I enjoyed this so much tonight, but others enjoyed it even more tonight, even more than the 1999.
This had been Coravin'ed earlier. Wow, what great collection of black berries, rich liqueur, licorice and vanilla. Great depth, great length, but seemingly close to balance while coming across as far too young.

Slightly more black > red fruit, but very charming and accessible for top Gevrey that is so young. Very good weight and balance.

Ripe black cherry and plum with liqueur and cassis. So much weight, spice and complexity already, this wine just keeps getting better.

Black berry and currant with clove, espresso and vanilla. Very powerful, yet surprisingly lithe and charming.
