Pop n Pour. Full, aromatic nose of mature red fruit and smoke. The palate is so fresh with rich and round mature cherry. Still lush, while texturally complex. Held strong over 90 minutes. No rush and a testament to the terroir.
Black cherry and an appealing smoky and musk note in the nose. Leaner on the palate with bright berry fruit. Good herbal complexity. One of the leaner / lighter examples of the 11 bottles tasted today.
Herb-filled black and red cherry fruit on the aromatic and appealing nose. Velvety rich fruit with succulent acidity. Med+ concentration and length. Very, very good. And in the top few wines of the day.
Intense, smoky and musky black cherry nose. Despite the intensity of fruit flavor the palate is lighter and slightly thin on the finish. Tasty, but in the context of the line-up, probably earlier drinking.
Star of the line-up today. Such intensity and depth in the spice and musk filled aromas. Palate has terrific depth and concentration with layering and intensity throughout. All in a lively frame.
Similar aromatically to the 08 LD and 09 LD with loads of spice and musk, if a bit more red fruited. Love the purity, intensity and freshness. Just a notch behind the 08 LD.
Similar in profile to the LD, but more intensity and persistence all around. The silkiness of 2011 is on full display here. Upside on the CdT, moreso then LD.
My favorite of the 2011 trio. More of everything here - richness, concentration, intensity and pin-point balance. Similar impression to my tasting at the winery 5 years ago. Awesome wine with upside from here.
A wow, effusive nose that is loaded with spice along with signature musky black cherry. Round, rich with great concentration. Dense fruit is nicely offset with freshness. Big spice filled finish. More large scale than other vintages. Fun now, with upside.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru
Bonus white burg. Big seductive nose of ripe orchard fruit infused with match stick and flint. Great richness and density while still sporting a tense verve. Pretty damn impressive.
Adrian's note is spot on. Really appealing nose that tips a cap to big houses like CdC with its yeast and toast. The palate is more lean and driven than I prefer. Solid in the genre.

Very similar aromatically to the '08 with a riper, denser palate profile. Good but just a tad heavy in the context of the line-up.
