Earth, dark fruits and a herbaceous note in the attractive nose. Full bodied on the palate with licorice, thick dark fruits to chew on. Good acidity and well balanced. Better integrated tannin than the 2000 TM in the same flight. Fully mature and should last well another 5+ years.

Tasted next to TM 1998. Modern style Right-Bank, thick dark fruits and licorice in the nose but somewhat monolithic. Concentrated and powerful on the palate but (dry) tannins taking 1st place above fruit. This won't improve anymore.

I liked this a lot, very attractive with further ageing potential. Lush perfume with earth, iron and herb notes. Concentrated and rounded palate with dark fruits, tobacco and good freshness. Well integrated tannin. Well made and balanced wine.

What a beauty! Elegant and sexy wine, lush and refined. Earth, iron, tobacco and coconut in the nose. Thick and powerful on the full-bodied palate with fresh ripe fruits, earth and chocolate. Robust well-integrated silky tannins. Drinks well now but will continue to improve further.

Well structured and quite classic styled for Right Bank 1998. Tar, earth, pencil and black fruits in the attractive nose. Concentrated on the medium-bodied palate with kirsch liquor and dark fruits. Good acidity and freshness but some dryness in the finish. Not super delineated. Drink up in the coming 5 years.

Another great Right-Bank 2001. Blood, earth, cream and kirsch-liquor notes in the nose. Compact, concentrated and sexy on the palate. Long lingering with earth, red fruits and Asian spices. Fully mature and should keep well for some more years.

Still the spectacular, sensual and sexy wine since we first opened this in 2005. Coffee, melted chocolate and liquor as well as earth and cream notes in the nose. Super elegant on the palate with iron, blood, black cherries, and great freshness. Remarkably well integrated tannin. Significant step up from the 1998 TR beside.

In tough competition tonight but still standing. Earth, iron, iodine and dark fruits in the nose. Full bodied, concentrated and true-to-type. Classic and delicious Pomerol.

Trotanoy needs more time. Luscious, full-bodied, thick and concentrated with good acidity and enough fruit and (firm) tannins for the next 20 years or more. EARTH, blood, dust, black cherries and spices - but still reserved. Will get better and gain more points, 96+ for now.
