My place, Kent Street
Tasted Saturday, March 7, 2020 by chatters with 48 views
Decided to invite KC over to have supper, drink some nice wine and watch a sunday matinee film on sunday night...
A lot of fun: The wines not mentioned that were also consumed:
Duhart Milon 1985
Vino Tondonia Gran Reserva 1994
(I'd tasted them by Coravin previously so just did a tag on to those earlier tasting notes)
2010 Domaine Drouhin-Laroze Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Prieur
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
From Coravin. Lovely, fleshy, jubey red cherry fruit, structured tannic burr as well lends weight. Slips down exceedingly easily with duck breast and puy lentils. Yum.

2005 Domaine Robert Gibourg Corton-Renardes
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru
From Coravin. Black fruits, ripe, dense but not overdone or over-extracted. Big. Bold. I originally intended to enjoy this with duck breast but it was a little too large so it got to play with lamb rack. It didn't disappoint.
