From magnum. This was opened and allowed to breathe in the bottle (not decanted) while it was consumed over a couple of hours. Deeply colored. This just kept changing over the course of dinner and was a pleasure to drink. Initial aromas of candied red cherry and currants gave way to earth, forest floor, leather, sandalwood and cedar aromas. Later, floral and dark fruit notes emerged, along with saddle leather. Medium to full bodied, with flavors of plum, dark fruit, fresh herbs and black licorice.
