Disgorged July 2019. Lemon, spice, strawberry and graphite. Very clean and pure on the palate, with a little grip on the finish. Doesn't really show any depth, but it's still a tasty drink.
April 2019 disgorgement. Lemon curd, white floral soaps, peach and pear. Bright acidity, lemon tang, good length and flavour. As is usually the case, Cedric Bouchard delivers the goods.
Petrol, lime, white florals. Super cleansing palate, zingy acidity but the fruit ripeness sits in behind well. Beautiful length and composure. 10-15 years here should see an excellent wine develop.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet
Very smoky nose with lime and oak as well. Structured on the palate, but feels a little janky as a result. Probably needs time but not sure where it'll land.
Smoke, pear, graphite and apple on the nose. Fairly rich profile, with good flavour intensity. Seems good, but does lack excitement, maybe it will come with time.
Lemon peel, smoke and a little bit of sappy, herbal funk. Textured with plenty of flavour intensity and more of that sappy note. Definitely breaks our of the mold of traditional Hunter Sem, it won't please everyone but it's interesting if nothing else.
Blind. Sea spray, vanilla, orange and lemon with well handled oak as well. Delicate on the palate, clean line of acid sweeping through. Really refined wine. Impressed!
Roses, cherry, redcurrant and some smoky oak notes. Plenty of structure here, with red and black fruits sitting in support. Good acidity and very good potential over the next 15 or so years.
Violets, plum, earthy spice and blackberry. Plenty of fruit weight here, but does have the structure to give it the right amount of backing. Pretty strong showing but the best is yet to come.
Bright purple fruit on the nose and palate, with violets and light earth. Medium bodied palate, it's nice enough but not exactly generating much excitement over and above being nice to drink. Medium length.
Earthy, spice, redcurrant, charcoal and cranberry. Solid Cabernet profile - good composure with plenty of dusty red fruit. Balance is excellent and has good length. In a good drinking spot already but also should hold for some time.
Blind. Earth, spice, cherry and plum. Nice wine, lean profile with restrained red fruit and acid stretching it out. Good length with an appealing held back style.
Graphite and violets, with some cherry and blackcurrant as well. Needs time - clearly tense structure on the palate, with the tannins wrapping the tannins up tightly. Feels like another 10 years might see it opening up.
Graphite, plum, black cherry, cinnamon and tar. Rich palate, with deep seated black fruits and plenty of extract. Plenty of density but maybe without the magic balance this producer often comes up with.

Chocolate, pepper, VA and meaty notes. On the palate it is a bit tired and flat, there isn't the fruit or acid to give it any lift. Holding on okay
