2009 Couvent des Jacobins 89 Points
France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru
In the bouquet creamy red and black berries. On the palate the same fruits, chocolate, good acidity and mild tannin which is still a bit edgy. The wine probably needs more air time. 88 – 89+

In the bouquet some smoke and green herbs. Also red berries. On the palate red berries and unripe dark berries, chocolate, firm acidity and sticky tannin. Give it another 5 years of ageing. 89 – 90.

2011 Clos l'Église (Pomerol) 92 Points

The bouquet shows creamy red berries and pleasant oak, but is still a bit locked. On the palate red berries, firm acidity, vanilla, slightly sticky tannin. The oak is not fully integrated yet, but it is a beautiful wine which will probably be at its peak around 2025+

The bouquet is a bit earthy with dark berries and sweet spices like cinnamon. Also with creamy chocolate. On the palate red and dark berries, vanilla, ok acidity and length. Medium, round tannin. Ready now and the next 2 – 4+ years. Beautiful wine. 90 – 91

Creamy and slightly rustic bouquet with red and dark berries as well as some smoke, pepper and vanilla. On the palate creamy mainly red berry fruits and juicy acidity and tannin. Good length and ready now and the next few years.

Quite developed bouquet with autumn forest floor and garrigue. Same impressions on the palate. Juicy and good fresh acidity and sweet spices like cinnamon and vanilla. Harmonious wine with a pleasant balance between acidity and sweetness. Completely dissolved tannin.

Beautiful bouquet with vanilla and creamy red berries. Same on the palate. Chocolate, mocha, pleasant touch of sweetness. Beautiful and juicy acidity. Full bodied and spreading through the mouth. The wine will develop for the better over the next 5 - 10+ years. 94+
