All wines were tasted blind.
Intense plum-like fruit, elegant and with fine tannins. Great wine!

Juicy black currant fruit with a touch of barnyard/manure and coffee.
Primary, intense and powerful but still with an amazing balance! One of the best Baron's I have tasted.

Rust and blood mixed with young elegant fruit. Rose petals on the nose. Lovely.
Definitely 94p++

Extremely intense but packed with coconut and vanilla. Dense in its fruit core and with a touch of sweetness.
An amazing wine!

Coffee, wet hay and animal cage. Extreme tannins. Needs time but with a great potential.

Cool and tight Bdx-style fruit profile but still in an expressive way.
Herbs and green bell pepper. Lovely wine.

Dense sweet fruit but not overdone in any way. It is concentrated but not like the vintages before this.
This is not my favorite Alzero and I lacked the sweet fruit core that usually meant that possibility of very long aging.

Elegant and light blackberry fruit with a lovely and refined structure. Still very young. Lovely wine.

Green bell pepper and black currant fruit with a touch of vanilla. Crazy structure but also a stunning balance.
An absolutely stunning wine!

Dense and compact fruit. Extreme but not in a defective way. Crazy structure but also quite bitter in the aftertaste.
Very intense but also off balance..

Compact fruit core and very young but unfortunately quite closed. Very "green" and with rough tannins.

Blood and coffee but also very juicy. Elegant and very lovely to drink. Some "green" notes but a huge intensity.

Huge structure but also very young. Not quite sure of what to think of this but it seems like a very good wine. There was just something that didn't peak for me despite the obvious quality.

Very impressive wine that just jumps out of the glass. Creamy texture and some concentration of the fruit but still in a refined and refreshing way.
Amazing wine!!

A decent sauternes but for me it lacked depth, concentration and botrytis. When revealed, I was slightly disappointed.

2000 Château Léoville Las Cases 92 Points

Very primary fruit, harsh structure and some spices. Aftertaste is short and overall the wine is a bit "boring" at the moment. Could have needed more decanting time to hopefully open it up a bit more.

2000 Château Léoville Poyferré 94 Points

Balanced and "cool" style fruit and also some complexity despite being young. Lovely perfumed nose. Juicy and herbaceous.
Great wine with a huge potential.

Primary fruit with a very lovely structure. Excellent fruit depth but also still very primary.
A huge wine and I simply loved it!
