Lots of wines, so I wrote down quick impressions.
Amazing wines. I could have stayed at this table the whole time and been happy.
Bright citrus notes, more NZ in style. The SB dominates. 84-86

Rich, beautiful wine. The oak isn't nearly as prominant or dominating as the last time I tried this, a couple vintages back. Instead, gorgeous peachy aromas fill the bouquet. And despite being rich and full, there's a delicacy to the palate. Not cheap, but extremely enjoyable. 91-92

Cinamon and cloves jump out on the nose along with the red fruit. Fairly big for a pinot, it still retains a silky mouthfeel and a great acidity, but no bite. A rocking pinot that doesn't break the bank. 91-93

Showing well. Some earthiness and herbacousness present with the fruit. 86-87

Similar to Recougne. Enjoyable entry level bordeaux with more interesting features then a similarly priced Californian wine. 85-86

I was shocked this showed so well, as it was being drank among wines at least three times its price. A medium bodied offering that captures the qualities of the rhone. Great texture and lovely fruit. Excellent CDR. 88-89

This bottle was ready to show. Amazingly forward right now, this wine just sings the praises of CDP. It could taste like plastic, and the texture alone would make it worth its price. Thankfully, it tastes great. Good price, as well. 92-93

Very spicy black pepper on the nose. Smooth texture creating a beautiful mouthfeel. Black pepper again on the palate. This is great. 91-93

Killer nose. Stunning mouthfeel. Beautiful wine. Very high on the yummylicious scale. 92-94

3/30/09: Pretty much the same as a year ago.
4/24/08: Had time to spend more time with this. While the score stays the same, my impression is different. Not at all the typical Aussie fruit and oak bomb. This was a little reductive at 1st. But after opening, showed a medium body with great concentration and fantastic acidity. Super easy to drink, this is all rasberry flavors. Nice.
3/27/08: Lots of rasberrry flavors with gorgeous acidity. Ridiculously easy to drink, and at a good price, too. 88-90

A menthol, alcoholy nose that was very distracting. A little overdone for me, and hot on the finish. Low 80's.

Big extracted wine. Didn't distinguish itself from the other wines at lesser price points. High 80's.

Big, heady nose. Gorgeous rasberry flavors that are big and round, and the acidity keeps this vibrant. A great example of this type of wine. 91-92+

Apple notes. Off dry in style. Decent. 84+

Pretty nose, with vanilla and clove sticks. Quite a bit going on with the palate, with lots of spices mingling with the fruit. Nice acidity. Good. 87-88

This was decanted, but still seemed to young to me. Hugely tannic. Before the wall of tannins arrive, though, there are elements to this wine that make it worth trying in a few years. 88-92

Not overoaked in the least bit. Fairly subtle, but interesting. Nice entry level chard. 88+

Good fruit balances out the oak. Very enjoyable. 89+

The understated fruit in this wine is the highlight. A treat for those looking for a chard with great acidity and w/out a lot of oak. 88-89

While I enjoy these wines, I have a hard time swallowing the price tag they come with. This wine has lovely balance betweent the oak, acidity, and fruit. It is thouroughly enjoyable, and doesn't veer toward the super tropical flavors that Cali chards sometimes do. 91-92

Lovely bright pinot fruit. Slightly barnyardy, and pretty tannic right now. Needs a little time in bottle to come together. 84-86

Much more enjoyable then the regular bottling. Med. finish. 87-89

My favorite of the single vyds, this wine was very pretty. The nose was also quite explosive. 90-92

More acidic and leaner in style then the carneros wines. 86-88

This was the star of the show for me. I could have stood there and just smelled the unbelievable aromas soaring from the glass, all classical nebbiolo. Extremely approachable, which shocked me. Beautiful texture, and again, so many flavors flitting over the tongue. Long, elegant finish. The tannins are still mighty, but not dominant at all. A grand wine. 94-96

Extremely pretty nose. Big on the palate, and offers much more then your average CC. 89-91

Pretty nose, but the palate, as happens so often with viogner, doesn't really follow thru. Finish a little bitter. 82-83

Full, rich, peachy nose. I thought this was the Esprit, and was extremely disapointed, as the palate doesn't follow thru. Slightly bitter, and not as rich as I was expecting from the nose. 85-86

This is such a pretty wine, and manages to really capture a bit of the feel of a CDR, which I never get from Cali wines. Beautiful fruit, and a great companion to the majestic Esprit. 89+

Disapointed in this wine. I really enjoyed the '03, but then the price went up quite signifigantly, and I don't feel that this wine is as good. Tastes like an decent CDP, but nothing of interest. And up here, the coudelet is cheaper and a better bet. 85-88

Big, funky, chewy, wine. The price is interesting as well. 90+

2006 Montinore Estate Pinot Gris 87 Points
USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
3/27/08: Still showing well, maybe even a point higher.
12/9/07: Pineapple and tropical fruit cocktail on the nose. Rich palate. There's some oak on this wine, and it doesn't work for me. The finish is not as enjoyable as many of the other Oregon P. Gris I've enjoyed. Forgot about and tried on day three, and was actually nicer. Seemed more in balance. This was a solid effort, and priced right.

Slightly bigger then regular bottling. Great acidity, giving it a nice juiciness. Minerality comes in on the finish. 86-87
