A semi-annual tasting gala that is a great event for only $30. The best wines were the CA cabs and Spanish wines in this one.
While tasting the Conn Valley, I overhear the gentleman next to me talking about Ghost Horse. It turns out he was the first writer to taste the wine, Monty Preiser ( http://www.sallys-place.com/beverages/wine/ghost_horse.htm ). He said it can hold its own with the cults, but there is no reason to pay the higher tariiff. Said Todd is a personal friend and it is not a spoof, but a real endeavor. Interesting conversation.
