New Zealand, North Island, Wairarapa, Martinborough
Might be one of the worst Pinot Noir's of the year. Light is an understatement. Floral, dirt and mild fruit. Short finish. Not flawed just a terrible wine. Even the people bringing it said it was terrible and not cheap as it was $30.
Might be the best Orin Swift wine tasted to date. Strawberry, dark cherries, spice and floral notes. This was a nice Rose style wine. Not sure what it costs and it is not Tavel but very enjoyable.
Australia, Victoria, Western Victoria, Great Western
Thinking this would be a dry Riesling but going German on this and I liked it. Floral, peach, honey, ginger and mild spice. Medium plus finish. Drinking well now and consume within the next few years.
The Napa version of this wine tonight. Many thought it needed more time which tells you this is not a flawed bottle as one reviewer previously thought. Plum, dark berries, spice, earth, mild oak and tobacco. Medium plus finish. Did not decant this and probably needed a few hours.
Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River
Interesting wine and I liked it. Spice, eucalyptus, dirt, light fruits and floral notes. This had a nice overall finish. Solid wine and glad I tried it.
Compared to the 11 Sandown this is amazing it costs twice the price. I would drink this but nothing off the charts. Bigger style with plum, cherry, blackberries, spice and pepper. I don't see this aging long term so drink now.
Australia, South Australia, Fleurieu, McLaren Vale
So those who say good Aussie wines don't age are not drinking the right Aussie wines. $45 with shipping this is off the charts good. Blackberries, black pepper, tar, spice, blueberries and minerals. This is concentrated and showing great form. Pop and pour and should age another 5 years. Buying all they have left. 3rd time trying this wine and this is the best version.
Australia, South Australia, Fleurieu, McLaren Vale
A half a point behind the Jimmy tonight. 2nd best wine at the tasting. Eucalyptus, dark fruits, spice, earth, underbrush and dark chocolate. Medium plus finish. This has 5 or more years left of pure enjoyment.
Showed ok tonight. Decanted 3 hours. Probably needs to sit in the cellar for 5 to 10 years at this stage. Pepper, blue currants, mild spice, earth and floral notes. Complex wine but not competing with the 04's tonight.
Australia, South Australia, Fleurieu, McLaren Vale
This is what I call a crowd pleaser in a good way. Bright fruit, floral, earth and pepper. Medium finish. No rough edges and smooth overall wine. Many liked it.
Australia, South Australia, Limestone Coast, Padthaway
3 in a row that I did not like at all. This wine was heavy on the eucalyptus and offered little fruit. Some earth and mild spices. Kind of a flat wine. Drink now.
Australia, South Australia, Fleurieu, McLaren Vale
A bit better than the 16 but not my cup of tea. Mild heat, blackberries, spices and earth. Not very complex. I can think of 100 Aussie wines that cost less that are better.
Australia, South Australia, Mount Lofty Ranges, Adelaide Hills
For less than the D Block wines this is far superior. Cooler climate Shiraz with floral, white pepper, minerals and earth. Medium finish and balance wine.
Australia, South Australia, Fleurieu, McLaren Vale
This is fine but the price is outrageous for this quality. Big wine with blackberries, ripe plums, pepper and spices. In your face effort that I will be happy to drink but would never pay $70 for this. Far better wines out there.
Not showing well on this tonight which is a theme for every other user on this wine. Light effort with light structure. Light fruits, earth, heavy floral notes and mild spices. Lacks complexity. Drinkable but nothing amazing.

A total wine bust. This wine offered some heat, big fruit and acidity levels are lacking. One dimensional wine and not cheap.
