Exceptional nose of cherry, blueberry, and flowers with brooding funky, foresty notes. Light and elegant, but with almost no acidity, which prevents it from being an exceptional wine. Not a food wine, but great on its own.
USA, California, Sonoma County, Green Valley of Russian River Valley
Unfortunately, in line with last note; still a bit young with unbalanced tannins, but without the likelihood of integrating into anything spectacular. Unimpressive finish. However, those around me were much higher on this wine than I was.
USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Lucia Highlands
More full-bodied than Keefer or Graham, with mouth-coating tannins (cheek fuzz), and a great long finish of tart sour cherry and sweet, acidic sherbert. Best finish of the wines in the tasting, though bigger and less elegant than a couple of the others.
Exceptional wine with forward, but not extracted fruit, balanced with clos pepe peperiness, some exotic spice, and a nose of cherry and cigar/leather/musk. Nice finish. I prefer the Lorings slightly less young, and this should be exceptional in a year or two.
This was one of the simplest, most fruit-forward of the wines tasted, but drinking very well now. Unpretentious, with aromas of cherry and a bit of herb.

A muted nose which needed time in the galss to reveal sour cherry notes. Very fine integrated tannins balanced with great acidity.

Drank right after the Garys', and it does not compare; similar in body, but much much simpler

2006 Loring Wine Company Pinot Noir Shea Vineyard 88 Points

Currently somewhat muted, with "fuzzy" tannins and good acididy. Clearly needs another year, but has the makings to integrate exceptionally well.
