Tar, smoke, meaty on the nose. Red fruited on the palate, the smoke is pretty heavy and even though there is decent acid, I don't find a lot of appeal palate wise.
Smoky and dark cherry nose - quite tight. Palate has some grip to it which clamps down quite hard along with some taut acidity. Not really showing much style right now.
Floral and red cherries, herbs and plum - quite open aromatically. Even with a taut palate profile, there is good length and poise. Really nicely composed and classy.
Pure and lovely lift out of the glass - floral, blackcurrant, pear and charcoal. Really good verve on the palate with great structure to hold it together. Very impressed.
Toast, smoky, blackberry on the nose along with a slight medicinal note that carries onto the palate. Medium length. Next to the Bussia this didn't have the same lift or appeal tonight.
Lifted profile, bright and floral with violets and rose - redcurrant and earth with licorice and spices, lots going on here. The palate carries a similar pure fruit profile. Long balanced and detailed, crackling with power. Lovely.
Pomegranate, cherry, tar, earth and perfumed aromatics with licorice and spice. Superb length and power, really pushes across the palate with focus and drive. Others had a weaker bottle of this the night before but this was singing. Excellent set of 17s from Cappellano.
Earth, slate, prunes, cherry and graphite. Tight and taut on the palate, with nice flow to it regardless. Not all that exciting right now but it may well come with time - a bottle that some people tried the night prior was apparently much better.
Violets, tar, pine, five spice and graphite. Intense and deep structure on the palate, but shows a class and lift from the floral fruit that gives you belief that it is going to be quite a show stopper with a mdoerate amount of time in the bottle.
Light fruited nose, red berries, campfire and a meaty bretty note. Palate is controlled, medium length and quite good flow that isn't interrupted by the brett. Drinking well now.
Orange peel, strawberry and cherry on the nose. Drinking great right now with a mix of sweet fruit, acidity and savoury texture. Medium length with plenty of interest to it.

Cloudy colour. Apple, pear and grape on the nose. Touch of sweetness but maintains feeling fresh. Simple but not bad at all.

Strawberry, blueberry, touched by smoke and tar with some herbs in the background. Good acid profile keeps the fruit fresh with medium length.

Spice and mixed berry fruit with oak as well. Medium intensity, a bit denser and darker here. Approachable but not as vibrant as the Paiagallo.
