  94. 94-95 potential. Elegant red cherry fruit and med+ acidity. Very tannic. Lighter bodied and very tannic. Better with charcuterie and cheese board at this stage, to soften the tannin load.

  There is plenty going on from first pour. Iron and earth, bitter chocolate, mint, raisins, leather and smoke. The palate is velvety, deep and rich. It is a layered and savoury wine, with so much engaging nuance. Tannins are buried well below the flesh and despite how well it is showing now, you know there is more to come. Brilliant wine.

  Classic and restrained - roses and roses, hints of wild strawberries and sour cherry. A little spice and tar. And the palate is similar. Clear. Some heft a hint of heat. Very clear and transparent, cherry spice roses, almost creamy sweet. Finish is herbal sweet. I love this style and can’t get enough of it.
  
  Day 3: the last of the bottle let me pick up more notes - such as cinnamon, a bit of herbal menthos and a touch of orange peel.

  Finally gave the wine its proper due with air. Acids and tannin soften considerably after a decant and back into bottle… 3 hours later this is pure cherry and some rose, power without weight, great clarity. This wine is going to be glorious in just another 5-7 years in bottle. HOLD.
