Apple cider, white flowers, lemony citrus fruit, hint of some more tropical notes, smoke. Lovely acid, balancing the fruit, which is echoing the nose but gaining more tropical notes with air, in a quite long finish.
Subtle citrus and yellow fruit which emerges more with air, smoke, pine and herbs, the palate is clean with a clear direction, some phenolic grip and maybe slightly a little too bitter midpalate before a long mineral finish.
Italy, Tuscany, Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino
Classic nose, cherry, black fruit, cedar tree, tobacco and some baking spices. Well integrated typical tannins, med+ body/acid, well balanced and great length.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru
Beautiful complex and living nose, developed red fruit, forest floor, meat. Medium - body, med alc, med + acid, fresh, blacker fruit on the palate, mushroom broth, a little green herbs, blood and minerals, finishes a little short, and doesnt really hold up to the acid towards the end. Drink now.
Citrus, yellow apples, crushed almonds, bread dough, with air becoming more briochy. Elegant creamy mousse, med body, med alc & acid levels, doesnt deliver the same fruit intensity and complexion on the palate as it did on the nose, but some interesting savouriness midpalate going into a long well-balanced finsh. A very well made wine.
