It was a pleasure to meet Juan and Nola and taste their wines (thanks Greg!). But what were we to expect? Andalusia is known for its Sherries and Montillas, but reds? Will the hot climate of the south show itself? or will the cool mountain air take over? how about - BOTH :) the wines showed a lot of potential of the region! the minerality made us think of loir and the ripe fruit - of california. an intriguing marriage indeed. last but not least - in the world of high prices - these wines are not just QPR - they are steals! Nolados at $15 is ...honestly?...crazy not to be sold out in seconds.
excellent wines and company! thanks guys!

bottled a year ago (disgorged 2 years ago) - cava-like wine made from 100% pinot (thats sadly no longer avaliable). light, touch of red fruit, strawberry and citrus, good medium finish. very pleasant.

i must agree with JR on this! qpr level here is VERY high. 2 onths of oak adds a nice creamy touch, 10% chard does the same - but at its core this is a wine thats alive with lemon and satly minerality, just a touch of sweetness on the back adds another layer of pleasure. LOVED this - a buy!

20% viognier adds a spicy, honey and floral sweetness on the nose. but the middle is lighter flavored and a bit heavier, lemon dominates. bit rough and the slc shows. i liked this less than the previous wine.

started out sweet and ripe but with some time became more earthy and less jammy. in the beggining this was missing soe zing but again - with time - more minerality and acidity, doos strong tannins. 1 year in oak - perhaps need some more time to develop? at its price - excellent.

blackberry, rich, touch of jam. one year in oak. ripe, touch of sweetness. not my style - 15% alc though is well balanced. milk-chocolate notes.
good ripe cab. again - the price makes it QPR
