Red fruit, raspberry, tar, fine well integrated tannins. Lighter than I expected; preferred the Montevetrano. Not overwhelming for the price, but very enjoyable. Drinking now.
Brilliant violet color. Somewhat muted nose, developed mocha on the nose. Cherry, black fruit, chocolate. Big but not overwhelming tannins. Less of an experience than my previous taste 9 months ago, more approachable, though also not as rich.
[venison] Deep violet color. On the nose huge ripe red and dark fruit, tar, and minerals. On the palate, intense raspberry, blackberry; long smooth finish. Approachable now though with significant life remaining. Actually preferred to the Serpico from a few nights earlier. Will purchase a few.

Nicely balanced, red fruit, subtle mushroom, nice acid. Very enjoyable. Would buy more.
