France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Remarkably lighter in color and weight than the cuvee Reservee. More advanced with secondary aromatics, redder fruit, and less obvious tannins. Beautiful now.
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Fairly dark color. A hint of brett. Not as somber as Beaucastel can be. Surprisingly anonymous and forgettable compared to some of these wines, but it does have a pleasingly lean, elegant feel and more acidity than most of these, all of which made it more suitable as a food wine.
2004 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru Bougros Côte Bouguerots
France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis Grand Cru
Magnum. Pale. Brisk, salty nose. This just kept growing and expanding over several hours. Layers of flavor. Marvelous Chablis.
