2/6/2024 - alanmspieg Likes this wine: 92 pointsMy wife and I opened a bottle of this tonight to pair with a grilled petrale sole, pasta and a green salad with vinaigrette. It went perfectly. Easy on the palate. Lots of citrus and mild acidity. A bit of oak, but barely distinguishable. It was fine from the start (without decanting) and opened up a bit after about ten minutes in the glass. A very enjoyable wine that should be good for another 2-4 years, but my six pack won’t last that long. While it is not in the same league as Aubert, Kistler, Peter Michael, etc., it is a terrific wine that will be enjoyable with nearly any fish or fowl. I’d give it an easy 92 - maybe a bit higher in a year or so as it levels out. |
