Light crimson in color. 14.5% ABV. Ripe red fruits and baking spices on the nose. Big, rich, fruit forward Pinot Noir. Flavors of brown sugar, black cherry, cola, cranberry and nutmeg. Tons of fruit left on a very long finish. Unabashedly New World in style. Drink over the next 2-3 years.
Purple in color. 14.9% ABV. Great nose of blue fruits, violets and molten licorice. Plush and silky on the palate. Flavors of blueberries, graphite creme de cassis. Beautiful finish. What a delicious Merlot. Only a slight step down from the flagship Cabernet Sauvignon. I do wish Quilceda Creek still bottled a Merlot. Drink over the next 2-4 years.
Purple in color. 14.3% ABV. Great aromatics of black fruits, anise and baking spices. Medium body with good acidity. The hallmark silky texture of all the Leonetti wines is ever present. Black cherry, currants, cassis and cocoa powder on the palate. The finish is tremendous. I'm inclined to drink my last few bottles over the next several years.
