Simply magnificent!
Had not had since 25th wedding anniversary 12 years ago. This time we were celebrating the birth of our first grandchild.
Big robust nose, awesome rich dark fruit, beautiful mouth feel and texture, smooth as silk ....wish we had more.

Pleased we waited a few years.
Great wine!
Wine of the the past two nights of Henschke and Penfolds ….just pipped the 2010 Hill of Grace ….but only just!
Huge dark fruit, lovely texture, tannins nicely integrated and very very long finish with a touch of dryness.

5 years on from last tasting....now it is bone dry and has a quite astringent finish. Even tried with some oily food. Don’t think it was flawed but two of us chewed through a glass over 2 hours ....tried agin next day and little better ....poured the rest down the sink!

Simply sensational.
Awesome powerful nose that wafts into the senses.
Magnificient dark fruit, massive mouthfeel and huge long finish.
Fantastic we have another ....will wait a few years and look forward with great anticipation.

Under screw cap, not cork.
Still green and acidic. Rather astringent really.
I suspect it needs plenty of years yet to soften; despite being 10 years old.
Yet another example of how I struggle to enjoy Margaret River Cabernet blends ….they are too much like young Bordeaux wines.

Lovely Merlot dominant wine. Smooth as silk in the mouth. Very strong fruit, tannins really gentle, nice seamless palate. A very very enjoyable vino consumed with Tuscan rack of Lamb.

Just sublime.
Every aspect of the wine, the fruit, the texture, the gentle acidity, fully integrated tannins all perfectly balanced.
Powerful and yet elegant. Plush but not syrupy. Bold but not flabby.
The final bottle in Henschke trilogy enjoyed with daughter and son in law on New Years Day evening 2022 and what a great way to start the year!
The only reason I do not give 100 is that this enthusiastic amateur does not feel qualified to do so.

Upon opening the wine had strong spritzy character, to much acidity and bright red fruit. My wife had a similar view.
We decanted and left for 90 minutes, second try was better, strained and re-bottled (screw cap), will try again tomorrow night.
Tried again next night, marginally better but still very acidic, not very gentle mouth feel and not really all that pleasant.

Super Heathcote shiraz. Lots of dark fruit. Terrific structure with lovely texture, just enough acidity and a very long finish. At age 16 its still going strong.

Simply magnificent.
Quintessential Australian Shiraz - Cabernet blend.
Still beautiful dark fruit, just a hint of tannins and left very mouth feel, texture is sublime. Finish goes on and on.

A truly excellent Barossa Shiraz.
Lovely texture and mouthfeel.
Terrific full fruit, just shy of glorious.
Nice long spiced finish.
First time tried, so glad I bought 6!
