9/11/2012 - Scott Butler Likes this wine: NRQuite an interesting bottle of bubbles. Rich in color...sort of between rose and salmon. Very fine bubbles. Floral nose with a slightly off metallic scent that blows away quickly. Rich without being over the top, very nice red fruit with excellent acidity. As it warms I get a slight nutty flavor that I like. Not terribly complex yet...but it is a 2009 so it is truly a baby. Very nice, wish I had another to age a bit. |

3/29/2020 - Neecies Likes this wine: NRZingy red apple and guava fruit, some watermelon. Not champagne-ish and doesn't want to be, it's unabashedly new world, big bodied and fleshy. Fun, but serious fun. |

1/28/2024 - kkleg Likes this wine: 91 pointsWatermelon and passionfruit on the nose. The palate also shows watermelon notes, along with some strawberry and just a touch of yeast. This is like a Pinot Noir rosé with bubbles. Just a bit too much acidity on the finish or I’d give this another point. Might mellow with more bottle time. |

11/9/2019 - timewithwine wrote: NRA deep and intense salmon color. Roiling mousse with the tiniest of bubbles; eensey, teeny bubbles. A nose of cherry and fromboise. The color is intense, the nose is intense and palate is intense. No surprise here - it’s a Loring! And the wine is complex - layers of flavors and a long finish. Bright and full bodied; an incredible pour. 12.5% alc. Without food, but opened to commence the celebration of DDB’s birthday. Recommended. |

My wife and I nearly drank the whole bottle last night and while she was a little tipsy, I felt pretty good. Tells me the alc on this is pretty well managed, which is great. |

4/13/2012 - lowereastscott wrote: NRBeautiful peachy rose color, like a sunset. Light bubbles. Nose of salted watermelon. More salinity on the palate, and a slightly vegetal character, maybe rhubarb and strawberry pie. Long finish, with an odd metallic note at the end. Not particularly complex, but a pleasant sipper with subtle charm. |

6/11/2017 - BarryPaulPrice Likes this wine: NRPale in color, between a salmon and copper. Very light nose. Faint hints of cranberry, tart apple, tart strawberry, hint of bread and soda. Moderate but persistent mousse, would prefer even more bubbliness. Dry on the palate with medium-high acidity, don’t sense the alcohol at all. Reminds me of October in Canada when we’d pick crabapples up from the grass and bite them and they’d be slightly soft already but with a tartness to them and a hint of skin astringency. This wine makes me really want fall foods and Thanksgiving foods. That said, we drank this bottle on a beautiful June afternoon in our backyard with our friend Simone. She absolutely went gaga over it, saying “I know I shouldn’t have more but it’s very delicious.” and then having more |

4/30/2022 - Giller63 Likes this wine: 90 pointsPart of a Berserker Day Mystery 3-pack. Had lower expectations based on it being labeled just a "red" and not a varietal. Going from memory as I grabbed this for a business trip. Glass on night 1 was fresh and drinking well as a PNP. Well integrated red fruit and soft tannins is how I recall it. Night 2 still going strong with not much change. Ditto on night 3. Still had a glass when I returned home on night 5 when it had flattened a bit, but was still enjoyable with a teriyaki pork tenderloin. Has me looking forward to the next bottle! |
