7/13/2023 - KingsleyZissou Likes this wine: 93 pointsLovely rendition of Oak Knoll Cab Franc. Pretty interplay of fruit and oak. Leads with charred tobacco notes, black currant, cracked black pepper, dandelion greens and coconut — which I attributed to American oak though they seem to have used exclusively French. Palate is delicious but rife with weighty tannin and moderate acids that suggest it could use a year or 4. |

9/16/2017 - Chris Likes this wine: 93 pointsDeep heavy red. Opaque. Nice aroma, very fruit forward. This is a giant wine. I love cab franc and there aren't that many 100% cab franc wines around. This one is a great example at a fairly reasonable price. |

6/22/2016 - TallMikeWine Likes this wine: 90 pointsThis wine is intense. Starting with the dusty, yet creamy, blueberries on the nose, which later smelled a bit more milk chocolatey. Plenty of fruit, but a LOT of oak influence. Certainly a California style Franc. A bit over the top right now, give it 5 more years, it'll be less "in your face". Big wine, I liked it. Had it with some super stinky cheese on a hot night. |

12/29/2015 - Graddini Likes this wine: 94 pointsJust shockingly good paired with a pan roasted pork chop. Luscious cherry. berry and earthy notes. Silky textured medium heavy weight on the palate with a lot of sweet fruit, mocha and very small grained tannins. Lingering finish and good to the last drop. A great value in Cab. Franc. |

3/1/2017 - GlenviewGSW wrote: 87 pointsNeeds time. Very dense and tannic in structure. It improved after 3-4 hours of decanting but still was somewhat one dimensional and tannic and dry on the finish. It has the bones to improve with aging however. |

11/15/2010 - hende14 wrote: 90 pointsMedium dark raspberry color. Very mild aroma. At first this wine drops into the mouth like there will be nothing there, but all of a sudden it fills up the mouth with a smooth red fruit. No harshness at all. Mild tannins, but they carry deep into a fairly long finish. Medium to full body. I like this as an "enjoy in the evening wine", as opposed to a wine to drink with a hearty meal. |
